Sono molto emozionata! My Far & Away Itineraries is celebrating its 5th Anniversary this month! Five years ago, I started with only a homemade business card, a simple website, and a big dream. I had no prospects for clients. The idea of blogging scared me silly. Facebook was a strange and distant alien, and "tweeting" . . . well, let's just say, I thought that was something only birds did. Fast forward to today, I am writing my 315th Travel With Julie blog post to a strong readership, publishing a monthly e-newsletter to 450 travelers, enjoying 500 Facebook friends (not to mention the 300+ My Far & Away Facebook followers), and tweeting more than 2,900 messages with 2,100 fabulous Twitter Tweeps.
Please allow me to toot the horn a little longer. The last five years have been most remarkable because of those who trusted me with their vacation dreams. Eight small groups (48 people in total) traveled with me touring Italy and France. All the while, 104 people allowed me to design a custom itinerary based on their personal travel goals and budgets. Now that gets my heart a-thumpin'!
