At first glance, Sezanne looks like nothing more than a deli. Cheeses (and loads of it!), salamis, coffees, and other yummy things fill the entrance. But go upstairs, and a small bistro awaits. It's the perfect place to try some of the Alsace region's best!
I, of course, had to start with the cheese plate and a local wine. Why not? Can you think of anything better to start your lunch with in France? Did I mention the fig jam? Delicious!
The servers are extremely knowledgeable about their menu, including the wine (which may be tasted by the glass). You will also find specialty beers on the menu. The food menu itself is small, but on the day of my visit, a piping hot crock of cassoulet was irresistible.
You know how you have two or three highlights on a vacation? Well, Suzanne was one of those for me. Memorable, fun, good food and friendly service. I loved it and will definitely go back on my next visit.
